For Real, Chris Davis?

I really didn't want to make this a thing, but it's Sunday morning, I'm up early, and I got a new Mac. So I said to myself "Fuggit, let's make this a thing!" Oh what I will do to put content up.

It seems that Orioles first baseman, Chris Davis, had some not-so-nice-things to say about José Bautista. Not only were they pretty tame and low-level jabs but... I mean, c'mon Chris. THIS was your Ace of Spades?! This is something straight out of recess. If you missed it, here you go:

......."said no one ever...." You're a grown man and you used the phrase, "said no one ever." Is this for real?

So, aside from the fact that Davis fueling the fire that Dan Duquette started about two months ago, how much stock should we really put into these juvenile comments made by Davis? First of all, did Davis take a poll with the all the players in the MLB to see who likes Bautista and who doesn't; only to find that no one does? No. Aside from the dick-measuring contests that Bautista and, let's face it, the majority of the Orioles roster has had over the past few years (that Bautista pretty much has always won, by the way), has Davis had any interactions with Bautista to even make such a comment? Doubtful.

Look, I get the whole "look after your own" when it comes to coming to the aide and having the back of your teammates (looking at you, O'Day), but when it comes to relaying such childish bullshit to the media, a player of Davis' caliber should know better. All I'm really seeing as a translation from this is "I'm still butt-hurt that we didn't win the Wild Card Game... wwwaahhhh!"

But who am I to judge, right? I mean, in all likelihood, this is just going to piss Bautista off and have him laser-focused for when the Jays face the O's. And we all know the story. There's this.... and this.... and this... and oh yeah, this... you get the idea.

By all means Davis, be an asshole. Seems to work out well for your team when you piss Bautista off.
