Are you an experienced writer looking for a platform to showcase your writing? Love the Toronto Blue Jays and/or the Toronto Raptors? Looking to find a way to break into the online blogosphere? We may be able to help.

South of the 6ix is looking to build a team of writers to cover the Toronto Raptors and Blue Jays. The positions are unpaid but would give you the freedom to submit your articles at your convenience. Ideally, we are looking for you to contribute an article once a week - at minimum - and we would share it via our social media platforms on both Twitter and Instagram to make sure that there are eyes to read YOUR work on a regular basis.

To join the team, send writing samples to: southofthe6ix@gmail.com. Not all submissions will be accepted, as your work will be evaluated to see if you have the necessary writing skills to be part of the team. If we like your work, we'll let you know and we can move forward from there.

The expectation is to submit an article to me once a week at minimum via email. I will review and edit your articles prior to posting. Once that is done, I will post them on the website giving you 100% full writing credit with your name and Twitter handle at the top of each of your articles.

We look at this as an opportunity to have your work be seen, as well as a chance for you to interact with other Blue Jays and Raptors fans. Moreover, it will help us grow as a team and reach more people that are searching for content surrounding both the Blue Jays and Raptors. So if you are an aspiring writer that loves the Blue Jays and/or Raptors, shoot us an email!

One last thing - please take the time to visit this site and learn what we're about. Specifically, please visit the ABOUT page in order to learn more about what the website and podcast signifies. Just like applying for any position, you should know exactly who you are applying to and what the company - as a whole - stands for. Although the site was started by me as a way to highlight the notion that there is an American that is also a die-hard Blue Jays and Raptors fan, you (the writer/applicant) DO NOT have to be of the same ilk. Please note that this is a commitment and, if excepted, the expectation is to have articles submitted on a regular basis (yes, even during the off-season). So if you would like to be part of the team, feel free to shoot me an email with a writing sample and we can go from there!
