Game Review: Raptors vs Bucks

The Raptors were led by Serge Ibaka coming out of the gate as he dropped 9 points early on. DeMar DeRozan added on 6. Toronto played great defense on Giannis Antetokounmpo, holding him to only 2 points. Kyle Lowry orchestrated the offense with 4 assists in the quarter. Toronto led 29-23.

The Raptors got absolutely torched by Milwaukee in the 2nd quarter. The Bucks outscored Toronto 42-28. Khris Middleton dropped 12 and Thon Maker scored 7. With about 2:28 left in the half, Giannis showed why he is almost impossible to guard. He went the full length of the court in 4 dribbles and threw down a dunk. With 18 second remaining, Toronto fouled Middleton on a three-pointer which he made. He converted the four point play. The Raptors trailed 57-65.

Lowry and DeMar combined for 18 points in the 3rd quarter, each scoring 9. Eric Bledsoe caused difficulty for Toronto on defense as he dropped 8 points. With 5:51 remaining in the quarter, DeRozan converted a three point play after making a jumper he was fouled on by Sterling Brown. Toronto was behind 88-96.

Pascal Siakam was huge in the 4th quarter, dropping 10 points off of the bench and leading Toronto to a comeback. DeRozan dropped 6 points of his own, which eventually tied up the game. With 3 seconds remaining, C.J. Miles inbounded the ball to Jonas Valanciunas. JV drove into the lane and threw down a monster slam as time expired. The score was 110-110 heading into overtime.

Jason Terry took over in overtime for Milwaukee. The 40 year-old PG scored 5 points in overtime, including two free throws at the end to ice the game. The Raptors we're defeated by the Milwaukee Bucks 122-119.
